Africa represents 40 % of the global solar energy potential, but have less than 1 % of the world's solar panels due to lack of investment. This deprives many small and medium enterprises to access clean, reliable, and cheap energy source, making them unable to run their daily businesses smoothly and thereby contribute to the economic development of their countries.
This is one of the challenges that will be discussed by experts and industry professionals at the 2nd Annual Africa Solar Energy Forum on 7th and 8th September 2021. Terje Osmundsen, Founder and CEO of Empower New Energy, will take a part in the panel discussion on clean energy potential and projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on how businesses can save energy costs by going solar.
