The SolarQuarter Business Meet Ghana Awards 2023 ceremony, hailed as the foremost recognition platform in the renewable energy sector, took place on September 12th in Accra, Ghana.
Empower New Energy, known for its contributions to the solar energy sector in Ghana, was honored with the Solar Company of the Year: Developer(C&I) award for our commitment towards driving commercial and industrial solar energy projects across the nation. Our dedication to expanding clean energy access and promoting a sustainable future has placed us at the forefront of the industry.
In 2020 Empower New Energy and its founder, Terje Osmundsen, was recognized by the Africa Leadership Awards. The event showcases the work of those who have demonstrated commitment to the development of Africa, contributing to positive social change and sustainable development.
In 2018, Empower New Energy was selected as an award-winner by the Luxembourg-initiated “International Climate Finance Accelerator” (ICFA), a public-private partnership set up to support “future leaders of sustainable fund management”.
In 2020, Empower New Energy was awarded a grant from the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA), managed by the African Development Bank, in support of its innovative approach to financing small and medium sized renewable energy projects
