We have opened a 30-day public consultation on the design of our Solar PV and battery storage Programme in Nigeria. Stakeholders are invited to share their feedback as part of the Gold Standard certification process.

Empower New Energy is developing solar power and battery storage systems at commercial and industrial sites across Nigeria, mainly replacing fossil fuels.
As an impact renewable energy investor, our investments unlock high-quality projects that contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. For this purpose, we also aim to certify the projects under the Gold Standard, a recognised international standard.
As part of Gold Standard's certification process, we consult publicly on the design of the Programme, making sure the projects align with the priorities of key stakeholders. That consultation is now open.
We want to hear from stakeholders on the scope and design of the Programme, the criteria we will use to bring individual projects under it, how we will manage environmental and social risks, and how the Programme contributes to sustainable development.
The consultation runs for 30 days. The full consultation document and a feedback form are available on the dedicated page:
