We are excited to share the news that last week, we signed a 12-year solar power agreement with the manufacturing and logistics company in Morocco, Saray Immo. The $3,5M investment, our third in Morocco covers the financing, construction and operation of two rooftop solar plants totalling a capacity of 5.8 MWp. The PV plant covering 49 000 m2 rooftop area of Saray Immo’s new and highly automated state-of-art manufacturing site will be Morocco’s largest solar rooftop plant.
This 5.8 MWp solar project is Empower New Energy’s third and largest investment in Morocco.
“I am delighted to sign this ground-breaking solar investment project in Morocco, a country with a huge potential for sustainable economic growth but experiencing the effects of global warming” said Terje Osmundsen CEO, Empower New Energy.

This $3.5 million investment represents not only a boost for local industry but also a significant step towards reducing energy costs and enhancing operational efficiency for our partners. Thanks to Morocco’s abundant sunshine, we estimate that these solar plants will generate approximately 9,600 MWh of clean electricity annually, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
Generating about 9,600 MWh the investment will cut approximately 6000 tons of CO2 per year, contributing to Morocco’s green transition agenda.
The signing event was hosted by the Norway’s Ambassador to Morocco, H.E Sjur Larsen, “Today marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between Norway and Morocco”,he said.
